Rules
I have quite a few of them actually. So please make sure to read through them very carefully.
Plot Section
There's not too much in the plot section of the boards. This is because there are three separate boards, each with their own settings and plot. Each section has it's own plot/setting board where more information can be found. Please make sure to read through it, as it is important.
Respect
Please respect one another. If you have a problem with another member, do not bring it up in the chat box! For gods sake that's what pm's are for! I know it happens sometimes but I will exercise my right to ban you if I have to! I really hate fighting. So none of that. Also, no racist, sexist, religious, sexual orientation, or other discriminatory comments. Short jokes are okay though.
No Spamming
This means frequent and repeated posting, either on boards or in the chatboxes. I am aware that I often spam the cboxes. Please follow the cbox rules, and don't be like me. Unless it's in the spam board I do not want to see it. Please. No friggin' spamming.
Site Rating
This site is rated Accordingly. Try to keep it around Proboards TOS Standards. Usually around PG(13) levels.
There may be some mature content from time to time, and I don't really care as long as you mark it with (m) before the thread title.
Things you may read in posts here: Moderate violence; Mention of nudity, drugs, weapons, sex, alcohol, swearing;
Things needed to be marked (m): Sex, extreme violence; (More may be added later)
Character Limits
You are allowed as many characters as you can handle. However, they are one per account, like most sites are now. If your characters become too much for you to handle, you can move them to the adoptions or inactive/retired section. If you put a character up for trade, you are accepting to delete the account related to that character, as soon as an applicant is approved for that character, so that they may use that character. We also have the option for NPC characters, which all have their own accounts and their own bio. These are characters that you can claim if they come up actively in your threads, but aren't musey enough or important enough to be actual characters. There is no limit on NPCs either.
Character Bios
You are REQUIRED to use the bio that is PROVIDED! (Now there is more than one, so make sure to use the CORRECT bio). I reserve the right to reject any application, and I will, however, if your character is denied you will be told why and be given a time limit to fix the mistakes. If you are still not approved, message Admin;Akira, and we can work something out. Most of the time, I am more than happy to work with people about their ideas. All you need to do is ask. I don't bite. And I would rather you ask about questionable things, than reject an application.
Also, you cannot start roleplaying until your character is accepted. If you have other characters, fine. Log out and go play as them. Anime/video game pictures are accepted. No real life fcs please. Ruins the aesthetic. You can draw your people too if you want to. Just make sure hand drawn, or electronically drawn characters have the proper sized graphics. If you need something edited to the proper size, Admin;Akira is more than willing to help out.
Who's Who and FC claims must be placed before, or immediately after your bio is accepted. But you do not need to wait for an admin to update the claims before you start rping. As soon as your bio is accepted and your claims are posted, you can do whatever you like. Admins will update the lists periodically.
Cboxes
We have a lot of them. In total there are 5 of them. Each have their own rules, which are found somewhere near them, but I will briefly touch on them here. Please make sure to follow the rules of each of the cboxes.
Main Cbox: This is the one at the bottom of the page. Avatars are not required, but it is preferred if you have one.You must register for the cbox if you become a member here. If you don't know how, ask.No spamming. The cbox has its own spam filter, so if you are posting too much too fast, you will be temporarily banned, and there's not much I can do about that. Try to keep IC posts out of this box if you can. The Main box is global.
IC Cbox: Each Realm has it's own IC Box. It's rather hard to post in the wrong one, but please just make sure you're always posting in the correct one. Located in the side tables under the census box. Only IC chat is allowed. You MUST have an avatar for EACH separate character that you use. No exceptions.
Admin Cbox: Also in the side tables between the recent threads and staff members boxes. This is for admins to use to keep everyone, and mostly each other, updated on things around the site. It is also used for new members to post questions if there isn't anyone around to answer them in the main box. And to alert admins that there are new character bios to be reviewed. The Admin box is also global.
No Godmodding/Power Playing
No Power playing or godmodding without permission from your partner. You will be given a warning the first time or two but after that the punishment will get as severe as being banned. So watch it. Also, your character may not automatically know everything about another character just because you, the player, has read over that character's bio. Fights are allowed and they will happen. Your Character is allowed 3 dodges before they have to take a hit. Just so ya know. You also cannot control the other person's character, unless they agree to it. If they want to dodge an attack that you said hit, they can dodge it. That's that. They also cannot die unless their player decides to let them die. Also, try and keep your characters powers accurate to the level that they have. If you have questions about this, contact Admin;Akira.
Possessiveness
Don't get possessive of other members or characters. This is also another base rule for basically every RP site, but I've seen varying degrees of this on pretty much every forum I've ever been on. Don't start getting possessive of anyone. No one character or member is contractually bound to thread with you and only you. Sharing is caring, and I'm hoping to god that you all care.
Be Creative
Alas, there is no real word count. But I would like at least one VERY DECENT sized paragraph. Got it? Usually it's acceptable at around 100 words. A paragraph here is 4-8 sentences, but I would really like to see more than that from you. There is no word limit either. Meaning that you can make a post that's 200 words or a post that's 2000 words. Just remember, quality over quantity.
Activity Checks
These handy little things let the admins know who is still coming on the site. We may, or may not send out an email telling you there will be an activity check. You will know there is one if you come online. If you do not respond to the activity check, you will be deleted. That's final. We will however save everything to the archives. So don't worry about it if you want to join back, we have everything, just the way you left it.
Account Activation
Please make sure that at least one of your accounts is registered to an active email. This is to ensure that if we need to contact you, mostly for activity checks, that you will receive the information and not be left out.
Ask Questions
I'm being totally serious here. I have been known to be really picky about things from time to time. But I am also always open to ideas and don't usually limit my members creativity. Because this is an original plot, built from my creative mind, I want you to ask questions about things you don't understand. If you questions about the rules, about the groups, about the places, about the characters themselves, anything. PLEASE ASK!
If you don't ask and I go to review your bio and you are completely ignoring my requirements, I will not be nice about rejecting you. I have the right to be upset at people breaking the rules, when I am more than willing to work with you. So please. Ask.
Rules
All rules, lists, plots, guides, are subject to change at any given time. Admin;Akira changes things quite often, as ideas for things come and go. If changes have been made to something important, an announcement will be posted. And yes, if something has changed, you are required to read it.
